The most widely established industrial application of atmospheric plasmas to date is in adhesion improvement. The current workshop has revealed a large number of other possible applications. Here, the cleaning and antibacterial effect of the plasmas plays a particularly important role for the food industry, both in processing and packaging. The possibility of cleaning wastewater and exhaust air using atmospheric plasmas is also exciting.
Other interesting contributions dealt with the combination of atmospheric plasmas and a laser treatment or plasma chemical oxidation.

As usual, the workshop was particularly lively due to the lively discussions and conversations of all participants. The evening regulars' table was also gladly used for this purpose. The culinary mile in Aalen provided a very pleasant setting for the exchange of ideas. Only the weather god was overwhelmed with his task and accompanied the evening event outdoors with persistent drizzle.
